What is the Fortnite TMNT Cowabunga Event?
Epic Games has announced the release of their latest event, the Fortnite TMNT Cowabunga Event, which brings the 'TMNT' back to Fortnite. Along with the new content, players will be able to purchase a reward pass and cosmetics, as well as skins for Shredder, Splinter, and more. The 'TMNT' crossover has become a staple in the 'Fortnite online shooter, where players can mix and match with many different franchises, IPs, and anime, including 'Master Chief' and 'Kratos'. Given the popularity of these events, it's no surprise that Epic Games has decided to team up with Disney on this one. A few months back, Epic Games announced a crossover with 'TMNT', bringing the 'Four Brothers' and 'April O'Neil back into the Fortnite shop at the beginning of 'Chapter 5, Season 1.' Players were able to purchase 'TMNT' skins using 'V-Bucks,' either as an individual or as part of a bundle. Sprays, emotes, back blings, cosmetics, and TMNT Mythic Weapons, were also available to further personalize the experience.
Fortnite TMNT Event End Date and Rewards
The Fortnite TMNT Cowabunga Event is coming to an end on February 27, 2024, leaving players roughly 18 days to complete the event, which began on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024. For many Fortnite fans, the biggest part of this crossover event is the long-awaited Shredder skin, which is only available to purchase the premium reward track, and also unlocks a LEGO minifig. How to unlock Shredder in the Fortnite Cowabunga event
The Shredder skin is only available to Fortnite players who purchase the Premium Reward Track from the TMNT Cowabunga event. The Premium Track costs 1000 V-Bucks and requires players to complete Quests to collect Ooz, which helps players progress through the tier. If you don’t buy the Premium Track, there are plenty of free rewards available, but you can only earn Shredder by upgrading. The final reward for finishing the Fortnite TMNT Cowabunga Event Pass is a super shredder style. Phase 1 of the Quests is called “Stick to the Shadows,” check them out below.
