Fortnitemares 2023 has arrived, and it's time to embark on an epic vampire-hunting adventure. Kado Thorne poses a formidable threat, but with the newly introduced Wood Stake Shotgun, you can stand up to the challenge. However, the excitement doesn't stop there; dive into the limited-time Horde Rush experience, complete quests for fantastic in-game rewards, and more. Fortnitemares 2023 is set to run until November 3, 2023, at 2 AM ET.

Unveiling the Wood Stake Shotgun

In the battle against Kado Thorne, all stakeholders need a reliable weapon, and the Wood Stake Shotgun is just what you need. You can find this exceptional shotgun on the ground, in regular and rare chests, and Holo-Chests. This powerful firearm will be your ally in your quest to defeat Thorne at the eerie Eclipse Estate.

Thorne's Vampiric Blade

Should you manage to defeat Thorne, you'll be rewarded with a Mythic blade. Thorne's Vampiric Blade is the ultimate weapon for a vampire hunter. It grants you health at the cost of your enemies' well-being. How does it work? Inflicting damage upon an enemy with this blade will slowly restore your health, ensuring you stay in the fight.

The Resurrection of the Pumpkin Launcher

For an extra dash of October spirit, the Pumpkin Launcher makes its return. Fire explosive jack-o'-lanterns that are sure to send a shiver down your opponents' spines. You can discover Pumpkin Launchers in various locations, including the ground, regular and rare chests, Holo-Chests, and even on flying drones.

Taking to the Skies with the Witch Broom

Elevate your tactics with the unvaulted Witch Broom. Activate the Witch Broom to swiftly launch yourself into the air and gracefully glide back to the ground. This ability proves especially useful when dealing with unexpected skirmishes. Witch Brooms can be found on the ground and in chests.

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth with Sanguine Sweets

Embrace a sweeter side in battle with the return of Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans during Fortnitemares 2023. Each of these treats offers unique benefits. For example, Hop Drops provide a temporary low-gravity effect. These candy items can be found in Candy Buckets, by ringing doorbells, defeating guards, or taking down bosses.

Reality Augments Evolve

The v26.30 update introduces four new Reality Augments to Battle Royale and Zero Build:

1. Revamped: Instantly obtain a Wood Stake Shotgun and gain siphon hits against players.

2. Witchy Warrior: Receive a Witch Broom instantly and enjoy reduced cooldown for reuse.

3. Trick or Treat: Instantly gain Candy. Eliminations drop extra Candy, and Candy itself restores additional shield.

4. Mythic Grab Bag: Receive a random Mythic weapon.

Additionally, Game Time, Icy Slide, and Rushing Reload Reality Augments make their return in v26.30.

Introducing the 'Quick Weapon' Action (Beta)

An exciting new feature in beta, the 'Quick Weapon' action has been added to the Controller Options. When enabled, the 'Quick Weapon' function replaces the "Next Weapon" button. Simply press 'Quick Weapon' to equip your primary item. Press one of the face buttons simultaneously to switch to one of the other item slots instantly. You can hold the 'Quick Weapon' button to get used to the item slots in your inventory. Moreover, when 'Quick Weapon' is enabled, "Previous Weapon" is replaced by "Place Marker" for improved squad communication. Customize your controls in the controller customization options to replace "Previous Weapon" with an action of your choice.

Competitive Notes

Please note that the Wood Stake Shotgun, Thorne's Vampiric Blade, Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and Candy items are not eligible for use in tournaments. The Game Time, Icy Slide, and Rushing Reload Reality Augments are also not included in tournament gameplay.

Bug Fixes

To enhance your gaming experience, we've fixed an issue where trees were not rendering correctly. Additionally, exclamation marks will now clear above the Quests tab as intended.
